The Training
Learning in Nature is a comprehensive training that equips participants to facilitate safe, engaging, and inspiring outdoor group experiences while strengthening community and connection to the natural world.
Who it’s for
Designed for guides, educators, and community leaders, the program weaves together practical outdoor skills, thoughtful group facilitation, and ecological literacy, preparing you to bring others into nature with confidence and care.
What we do
Throughout the training, you will practice the full craft of guiding: reading terrain and managing group safety, facilitating with presence, and interpreting the landscape through the eyes of a naturalist. The day moves from focused instruction in the morning to real practice in the field in the afternoon, so that everything you learn, you also do.
What we learn
This training is an invitation to step into leadership. You will leave prepared, grounded, and ready to guide others into the natural world with both skill and heart, carrying forward a ripple effect that widens access to nature and deepens your community’s relationship with the land.
What to Expect: A Full Day in the Field
Cultivating leaders who can guide others into the natural world with confidence, skill, and care.
In the afternoon we move outdoors to put the morning’s learning into practice, guiding, observing, and reflecting together on real terrain.
